We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant/Scribe for a full-time, Monday - Friday (see below hours) position at our
Palm Beach Gardens office. Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Patient care is our top concern, and because we can provide both diagnosis and rehabilitative services, our patients know they can depend on our team for all their needs.
Monday:
10am-6:30pm
Tuesday:
9am-5:30pm
Wednesday:
10am-6:30pm
Thursday:
9am-5:30pm
Friday:
10am-6:30pm
Description: This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant/Scribe who is comfortable with in-office procedures, medical terminology, strong typing skills for scribing, multitask oriented, motivated, able to handle a high volume of incoming patients, must be a self-starter and willing to learn all aspects of the ENT, Allergy and Audiology field.
Certified Medical Assistant Responsibilities: - Answering patient calls
- Taking vitals
- Obtaining authorizations
- Scheduling diagnostic tests and surgery
- Preparing exam rooms
- Assisting the physician
- Calling in prescriptions
- Cleaning and sterilizing instruments
Requirements: - Minimum one-year HANDS ON Medical Assistant and Medical Scribe experience.
- Current with certification or willing to participate and pass our in-house training course and state test.
- Comfortable assisting with surgical procedures.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- The ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, physicians, and team members.
- EMR experience.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Bi-lingual is a plus.

Physical Demands: Coordination, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of medical equipment and office equipment as required of the position or directed by the Manager. The position may involve sitting, standing, bending, and stooping. Incumbent must also be able to assist patients in transferring from wheelchair to an exam chair, when necessary. The incumbent must also be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds. Salary is negotiable based on experience.
