Organization: K.F. Nassif M.D. and Associates
Job Title: Ophthalmology Medical Scribe
Work Hours: M, T, Th, F, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: Wauwatosa, WI
Estimated Start Date: Mid-May 2025 (precise date TBD)

Description:
Full-time medical scribe

• On-the-job training
• Will use EMR system to take detailed notes of exam/patient encounters, send prescriptions
• Will get the opportunity to learn how to perform:
• Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scans of optic nerve and retina
• Automated perimetry/visual field tests
• Auto refractions
• Endothelial cell count tests
• Scribes will gain valuable exposure to disease pathology and diagnosis differentiation and learn the interrelationships between systems, disease and ophthalmic health.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Prefer pre-medical students entering their gap year(s)
• Should be available to work for at least 1 year
• no prior clinical/patient experience is required, but it is preferred
• Good communication skills and professionalism when interacting with other members of staff and patients
• Proficiency with technology
