Your day as a Community Engagement Coordinator

As the Community Engagement Coordinator at HomeTown Credit Union, you will be at the forefront of driving meaningful change and empowering our community through comprehensive financial empowerment initiatives. Your primary focus will be on coordinating financial wellness outreach, working collaboratively with community organizations, schools, and businesses to deliver impactful educational programs. You'll represent our brand as an ambassador by engaging with civic and student groups, showcasing our dedication to financial well-being.

This role also involves promoting HomeTown's products and services, ensuring that both community members and staff can access valuable financial resources. Managing donation and sponsorship requests and overseeing volunteer initiatives will amplify your community impact. With an emphasis on collaboration, you'll create engaging content for our social media platforms and provide regular reports on financial wellness outreach.

This position not only ensures professional growth but also allows you to make a profound difference in the lives of individuals in our surrounding communities.

Requirements for this Community Engagement Coordinator job

To thrive as a Community Engagement Coordinator at HomeTown Credit Union, candidates should possess a blend of education, experience, and key skills. Effective communication-spanning listening, writing, and public speaking-is crucial for engaging diverse audiences. The ability to create financial education curriculum, coupled with strong organizational and time management skills, will enable you to work independently while managing multiple tasks. A commitment to helping community members with their financial needs and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations will ensure your success in this impactful role.

Education and Experience

  • Two-year associate degree in marketing, sales, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in banking, finance, business development, sales, marketing, public relations, or teaching.
  • One year of credit union experience is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Proficient in the use of social media.
  • Valid Driver's License
